Training & Field Support

Free on-site training and pre-sales support for our distributor partners. We share our knowledge openly so your team can do the same for your customers.

Knowledge Sharing

We're Here to Help You Succeed

STERLING has more combined, real-world experience of condensate management than anybody else in the UK, and we're genuinely happy to share it.

We believe our distributor partners sell better when their engineers and sales teams are well-informed. A team that can confidently explain why proper condensate management matters, and what the consequences of getting it wrong are, will always sell more compliantly and more profitably.

That's why we offer free on-site training and pre-sales technical support to all registered resellers. No charge, no obligation. Just knowledge, freely shared.

What We Offer

On-Site Training Sessions

We'll visit your premises and deliver a practical training session for your sales and service teams covering:

  • Why condensate management is legally required
  • How oil/water separators work and how to select the right one
  • When to use zero-loss vs. timed drains, and how to make the ROI case
  • How to identify and service third-party OWS units
  • How to recognise emulsified condensate and what to do about it

Sessions typically last 1–2 hours and can be tailored to your team's existing knowledge level.

Pre-Sales Technical Support

When you're quoting a job and need to be certain about the specification, call us. We'll help you:

  • Select the correct separator model for the compressor output
  • Determine the right drain type for the application
  • Identify the appropriate filtration grade for downstream equipment
  • Advise on multi-compressor installations using manifolds
  • Quote for complete condensate management packages

Available during office hours. Just call 01543 502010.

Field Technical Support

If you encounter a problem on site (a separator that isn't performing as expected, condensate that looks unusual, or a system that doesn't seem right), we can help diagnose it remotely or, in appropriate cases, visit the site.

  • Remote diagnosis via phone or email
  • Laboratory sample testing if condensate quality is in doubt
  • Site visit support for complex or large installations
Knowledge Resources

In addition to direct support, we provide a range of reference materials to help your team develop their knowledge independently:

  • BCAS guidance on condensate disposal obligations
  • Product brochures and I&M guides for all products
  • Comparison guides for zero-loss vs. timed drains
  • Knowledge base articles on common questions

Who We Work With

Built for Distributors & Service Companies

Our training and support is designed specifically for compressed air sales and service companies across the UK and Ireland: the businesses that install, service and sell to end users. We do not work directly with end users, which means our support is always aligned with your interests.

  • Compressed air distributors

Product training, pre-sales support and stock availability to help you quote and win more jobs.

  • Service engineers

Practical guidance on OWS identification, service kit selection and performance diagnosis.

  • Sales teams

The regulatory framework, and the ROI case for zero-loss drains over timed alternatives.

  • OEMs and system builders
